Book Blogger Hop

Book Blogger Hop

In the spirit of the Friday Follow, the Book Blogger Hop is a place just for book bloggers and readers to connect and find new blogs that we may be missing out on!  This weekly BOOK PARTY is an awesome opportunity for book bloggers to connect with other book lovers, make new friends, support each other, and generally just share our love of books!  It will also give blog readers a chance to find other book blogs that they may not know existed!

This week's prompt:
If you could physically put yourself into a book or series…which one would it be and why?

For a series of books, I'd have to pick the Harry Potter series or the James Bond series.  Why?  Well, especially being a non-muggle in the world of Harry Potter would be fantastic.  Rowling is able to create such a fun world (well, apart from the occasional student death...) through Hogwarts and the wizarding world of the UK.  Being a student at Hogwarts (or one of the other schools mentioned in the series) would be fun.

For the James Bond series, it is set essentially in or our past (the books started being published in the 1950s), but I loved them growing up and they're the first books I started reading and enjoying reading.  So, it's a sentimental choice, I guess.

For books that aren't part of a series, I'd probably say Curtis Sittenfeld's Prep would be a strong candidate.  I loved the story and really was able to empathize with Lee, the main character.  Plus, I think it would be kind of awesome to have stayed at a boarding school growing up.

Though it wouldn't be very fun (and potentially highly, highly dangerous), it would be interesting to be in a world like The Hunger Games or Koushun Takami's Battle Royale

That's so funny! I definitely mentioned Hunger Games on my page too but I was saying that I probably wouldn't want to be in it! With my luck, I'd be the first to be picked for the games! Although I'd be so curious to see what it would be like to live in The Capitol! :)

Love your blog - I'm a new follower! I chose the Potter series, as well :) Rowling created such an amazing world in that work.

Take care & happy reading,
