Book Blogger Hop

Book Blogger Hop

In the spirit of the Friday Follow, the Book Blogger Hop is a place just for book bloggers and readers to connect and find new blogs that we may be missing out on! This weekly BOOK PARTY is an awesome opportunity for book bloggers to connect with other book lovers, make new friends, support each other, and generally just share our love of books! It will also give blog readers a chance to find other book blogs that they may not know existed! So, start HOPPING through the list of blogs that are posted in the Linky list!!

Your blog should have content related to books, including, but not limited to book reviews.
Most importantly, the idea is to HAVE FUN!!

This week's prompt:
Who is Your Favorite New-to-You Author of the Year?

Since my blog is still fairly new, I figured these prompts make good getting-to-know-you.

Unfortunately, in 2010, I've only once read more than one book by an author: that being all three currently-published novels of Stieg Larsson (The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played With Fire, and The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest). Larsson definitely would count as one of my favorite author's I've been introduced to this year.  [Image: bestbuybook via the linked website.]

My other favorite new authors for 2010 so far would be based upon, again, only one book.  And basing your love of an author on only one book that you've read by them is pretty difficult.  If I had to pick one author (based solely on that one work),   that would be the yet-to-be-reviewed author of Priority by Iselin C. Hermann. But since 1) I haven't listed my review on this site yet and 2) I've only read one book by her, I'm not entirely willing to go out on a limb and list her as one of my favorite new authors, but from this first book, I'd definetly want to read another book by her.

I've yet to jump on the bandwagon for Larsson's series but I've got to do it soon.

Hopping by to say hi!

Just seen that book at the store, but didn't get it. It is like I am swimming against the current on this one. I dunno why.

Greetings from Tresa via the HOP!

Stopping by from the hop. I tried to read Girl with the dragon tattoo, but couldn't get into it. Have a great weekend!

Thanks for stopping by everyone!

Breanna: I avoided the Larsson bandwagon for a while until I had a few friends tell me how much they liked them. Both me and my best friend decided to read it at about the same time, which was kinda cool.

Amandawk: Had I not heard such good things about it and read a bit about what the main story was about, I probably wouldn't have made it past the first 40 pages!

Hi! I'm hopping around and came across your site. Lovely! Haven't read the Larsson's series either. Can't wait to come back and see what's next on your blog. ;)
