Today's Waiting on Wednesday is a book I've literally been waiting since 2009 for this book to be released in the US.  Haruki Murakai is easily one of my favorite authors and this latest novel was published in Japanese in three parts over 2009-2010.  At last look, 1Q84 will be a brick at just under 1000 pages long. 

If you haven't heard of Murakami before, he gets mentioned as a possibly favorite for the Nobel Prize in Literature every year nowadays, though that usually means he won't win it since he's too popular.

Haruki Murakami's 1Q84 will be released in one volume on October 25, 2011.
