What, if any, kind of music do you listen to when you’re reading? (Given a choice, of course!)
If music be the food of love, play on,
- William Shakespeare, Twelfth Night, Act 1 Scene 1.
I often listen to nothing while reading; however, if I do listen to something what I'll put on will actually depend on what I'm reading. My standby is to put on something with little to no lyrics, like jazz or classical. If I'm reading something French, for example, I'll sometimes try finding some music to set the mood, so in that case something like what I'd hear at a cafe or coffee shop. It also helps that iTunes has an international radio section that will play things from different parts of the world since I often will read books from authors whose primary language or setting is not English/the US.
Or on the now seldom times I do go to Starbucks to read, I'll listen to whatever Starbucks radio is playing. How about you?
What do you listen to when reading?

Yes, while I don't usually choose to listen to music, the kinds of background tunes you might find in a restaurant or coffee shop works for me.
Love your blog header!!
Here's MY THURSDAY MEMES POST
Relaxing music is good.
I envy people who can listen to music while reading or writing. I easily get distracted so silence is a must for me. :)
I prefer silence, but if music is already playing, it won't stop me! :)
Hope you'll stop by...

I could never listen to jazz while reading, jazz, for me, is something to listen to "in the moment" and I have to be able to soak it all up.
Actually, I can't listen to music while reading full stop.
